What’s Razer Synapse Service.exe (Razer Synapse Service)? Is it safe or a virus?

While we're doing serious work here at our SpyShelter cybersecurity lab, hunting down evil spyware, we still enjoy having cool mice and keyboards. That's why some members of our team use Razer notebooks, mice, or keyboards. Thanks for making cool PC hardware Razer!

If you use Razer USA hardware then this process is probably running on your PC, as it should! But, what exactly does this Razer process do for you?

Razer's ynapseService.exe allows users to customize and control Razer peripherals such as keyboards, mice, and headsets. The Razer Synapse Service.exe process is responsible for running in the background and providing the necessary functionality for the Razer Synapse software to communicate with Razer devices and synchronize settings across multiple devices.

This service allows users to store their configurations in the cloud and access them from any computer, as well as update firmware and software for their Razer peripherals. Overall, Razer Synapse Service.exe is important for the proper functioning of Razer hardware and ensuring a seamless experience across devices.

Oh yeah, I'm supposed to say that SpyShelter doesn't officially endorse Razer products of any kind. ;) And also, if you don't need to sync your devices and you're wary of the 'cloud' then you can probably kill this process.
