Our ultimate directory of Windows PC executables.AskPartnerCobrandingTool.exe from Ask.com is part of the Ask Toolbar partner “cobranding” installer used by the Ask Partner Network to install the Ask search toolbar or related browser add-ons on a Windows PC. It’s signed by Ask.com and is described in its properties as “Ask Toolbar Partner Cobranding.”
You might have it because you ran an installer (often bundled with other software) that included Ask’s toolbar or partner search add-on as an optional extra and the installer dropped this file during that process.

The publisher of an executable is the entity responsible for its distribution and authenticity. Most processes/executables on your PC should be signed. The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.
