This program is designed to update the Logitech Options software, which is used to configure and manage Logitech devices such as mice and keyboards. The updater allows users to keep their Logitech Options software up to date with the latest features, bug fixes, and security patches.
Therefore, if you're using Logitech hardware you'll want to keep logioptionsplus_updater.exe running, so everything stays up to date and functional. Just double check that the .exe is actually signed by Logitech, and it should be safe to have on your PC.

The publisher of an executable is the entity responsible for its distribution and authenticity. Most processes/executables on your PC should be signed. The signature on the executable should have been verified through a third party whose job it is to make sure the entity is who it says it is. Find an unsigned executable? You should consider scanning any completely unsigned .exe on your PC.
